With the first team’s squad at full strength this week, Pennine secured a 47-38 win over Leicestershire’s Hinckley Hurricanes in today’s East Midlands Netball Regional League Division 1 match (28/10/12).
Although Pennine’s substitutions flowed throughout the game, the team continued to work brilliantly as a unit, regardless of which seven players took to the court. The shooters in particular were a constant threat to the Hurricane defence, especially the attacking prowess of Amy Smith, who was deservedly awarded Pennine’s Player of the Match. Pennine’s centre court players also controlled the ball and picked off lots of interceptions whilst the circle defence applied constant pressure and were very dominant at the rebound. Overall, it was a great win for Pennine and a really good team performance! Comments are closed.
