Netball Now

Netball Now is flexible, energetic and relaxed

It is a simple and comfortable way to play netball. Netball Now is not a coached session or a competition led by regulations and scores recorded. It is simply a session where you turn up, pay a small fee and play netball!

There will be time for you to warm up before you hit the court and during the session you will be able to try various playing positions and, in some cases, even have a go at umpiring. At the end of the session, we will also give you time to cool down to prevent any aches and pains from kicking in.

Anyone who is 16 and over can join in with Netball Now. You do not have to be an affiliated member to take part, but those that are will usually receive a discount. Please note if you are under 18, we will need your parent/guardian to register you.

Back to Netball

Back to Netball is a unique, a one-of-a-kind experience that will support all ages and abilities at a time of life when personal identity is often lost. As well as the wellbeing benefits, it supports healthy, active lives, reconnecting to a sport you once loved or trying it for the first time. It offers a place to be and find yourself.

As our flagship programme, Back to Netball gives everything. It comes with lots of hidden extras; building belonging, friendship, community and feeds bodies aching for adventure, helping you rebuild your you. It comes without demand or commitment, offering a warm welcome to people new to, and coming back to netball. Together with NETBALLHer, we’re here for her through the busy years.

Over 150,000 participants have taken part in Back to Netball. This 10-week programme will reintroduce you to netball in a supportive way, whether you have not played for years or perhaps it is your first experience.

Participants receive a warm welcome without expectations of demand or commitment. Sessions are progressive and trained coaches will guide you through the basics. Each session contains skill-based activity and fun game play.

Walking Netball

Walking Netball is a friendly and inclusive programme, allowing women the opportunity to find their place in the sport. It’s netball, but at a walking pace where the rules are slightly tweaked.

Usually held indoors, there are over 200 programmes running across the country all year round. Sessions are run by specially trained Walking Netball Hosts who run the activities and join in with all the fun and laughter!

It’s an experience; a one-of-a-kind programme that gives access to a whole world of connection, laughter and fun. You can pay and play for a single session and see how you like it – no long-term commitment is required.

Walking Netball has been designed so that anyone can play, regardless of age or fitness level. From those who have dropped out of the sport they love due to injury to those who believed they had hung up their netball trainers many years ago. Walking Netball really is for everyone. It can give those who feel isolated an outlet, provide an activity for those who do not deem themselves fit enough to run anymore and offer a stepping stone for those looking for a pathway back into netball. It’s also for people who have never played before. Whoever you are, there is a place for you within Walking Netball

Bee Netball

A red and white netball with a bee on it.

This is Bee Netball. A programme all about friendship, inclusion, fair play and playing together. It’s not about how good children are, it’s about how hard they try to Bee!

Bees themselves exemplify many of the values that netball instils; they’re active, hardworking, have a real sense of belonging and that’s exactly what we hope all our very own Bees (the young players) develop as they are introduced to our great sport!

Outside of school, Bee Netball can be enjoyed as a group or class in local leisure centres. These are run by England Netball coaches and partners, all of whom have been trained in all things Bee Netball. It can also be enjoyed through our network of brilliant netball clubs and schools.

Bee Netball is in its infancy which is why you’ll only see a handful of sessions at this time. We’re busy (bees) behind the scenes working on more sessions so keep checking to see if something has been added in your area.
